Drake's Takes - Turkey Day Slate

briandrake12

We've made it.

Whether you traveled to family or readied the house for company, it's here.

Thanksgiving Day is a time for family, food, and football. Well, mainly football.

You need a distraction from the tryptophan-induced naps and political fights with your in-laws. For that, we are thankful for sports betting!

The good people at TopProp Fantasy have tons of head-to-head prop contests where you simply need to predict which player will score more fantasy points.

I'm on the road myself so let's get quick and dirty with props you can make in the bathroom while hiding from your family.

Amon-Ra St. Brown is getting a whopping six bonus points vs Buffalo's Stefon Diggs. While nobody in America expects the Lions to win this game, the game script here should allow for Detroit to play from behind all day. Hello Sun God targets!

Back to full health St. Brown is a lock for seven targets and a floor of 70 yards. He's the entire Lions' passing game. He's running over 94% of Detroit's routes over the past month.

We all know Diggs is the superior talent but we're not judging that. It's all about the opportunities (and bonus points).

These two teams aren't exactly shutting down opposing wideouts. Since Week 9 the Bills and Lions rank 31st and 32nd respectively in pass plays over 15 yards allowed.

All praise to the Sun God for our bountiful prop harvest on Thursday.

TopProp Play: St. Brown (+6) > Diggs

Next up we have a heavyweight showdown of running backs in big D.

Saquon Barkley vs Tony Pollard (+1.5 bonus) won't need to go the full 12 rounds.

Dallas has finally realized their offense needs to run through Pollard. The Cowboys back has finished as top-10 running back for three straight weeks.

What does Saquon have to do to overcome the avalanche of productivity coming from Pollard? Well missing four starting offensive linemen doesn't help. Dallas has an incredible upper hand in the trenches. For Barkley, that's nothing new. He's coming off a week where he ran for 1.5 yards per carry. Yikes.

Pollard also has the luxury of gashing a New York defense that on the season has allowed the most rushing yards before contact in the league.

I'll be at my in-laws where both Giants and Cowboys fans will be pounding Miller Lites and shit-talking this entire game. Pray for me... and Tony Pollard who is my bet to win this prop!

TopProp Play: Pollard (+1.5) > Barkley

Finally, in the nightcap we're. pitting Jakobi Meyers (+7 bonus points) against Justin Jefferson.

The narrative is Patriots coach Bill Belichick will go out of his way to eliminate the opposing team's top weapon. It might be the six helpings of green bean casserole talking, but I'm going to buy into that call.

The Patriots boast fantasy football's best defense and they rank top 5 in passing yards allowed. The bean town boys also will look to light up Kirk Cousins who shrinks in prime time like George Costanza at the pool.

Meyers is hardly electric. He's only topped 100 yards once this season and has crossed the goal line only three times. But he's facing a beat-up Vikings pass defense who just allowed over 300 yards in basically three quarters a week ago.

TopProp Play: Jakobi Meyers (+7) > Justin Jefferson

After I open my third bottle of wine I might wonder why on Earth I picked this prop but when it hits the victory lap around the kitchen will be one for the ages.
